“Stuck lid? We have you covered!
We manufacture the Raptor 2000, and Raptor 3000 (patented designs) Gatic Lid Lifters which are engineered to help prevent back and other injuries associated with lifting Gatic lids.
The Raptor 3000 gives the ability to lift the lid after the initial seal has been “cracked” by engaging the locking pin. A roller can then be placed under the lid, so it can be rolled away to access the pit.
Raptor 2000, and Raptor 3000, Raptor XC, Raptor keys, and Raptor shear pins are all in stock now.”

The Segnut Revolution
“Westurn is home of the SEGNUT. A SEGNUT is a direct replacement for a standard hex nut.
A revolution in nut technology, this patented design consists of an inner section with three segments, held captive by an outer sleeve. When the outer sleeve is turned in the tightening direction, the SEGNUT releases from the bolt and simply falls away, reducing nut removal time by 95% compared to conventional nuts. No more stuck nuts means no more hot work permits. Also eliminates damaged gouged faces from oxy-cutting. The SEGNUT is just better in every way.”

“Recently a client walked in with an aluminium drive coupling and said ‘I need six of these, how soon can I have them?’ His other option was to import from the USA – with a long lead time.
Westurn’s in-house 3D design and drafting capability measured and modelled the part. Within a day the production team had 3D models of the part with multiple complex angles and faces ready to import into our in-house CAM machining software.
The client was ecstatic when I rang him two days later to say that his parts were ready for pick up!”

Westurn Engineering was founded by Brian Bradshaw in August 2000 to provide first class CNC machining services.
